I’d write something detailed but currently my back is pushing me to go curl up and die in some dark, unfrequented corner.
So all I can say is that not the best out of the three, but definitely my favourite bird.

{xlv} steller’s jay.

this is actually similar to an assignment I had to do in my final year of high school - two illustration pieces, hand-lettered, one of still life and the other was free-reign, I believe.
This one isn’t hand-lettered {though I tried; but it’s far too late in the evening for my brain to function properly, it seems}, but I do like this illustration better than whatever I did a year ago.

I actually enjoyed this! It feels like my first proper illustration in a long time.
